An Aldergrove man faces child pornography charges, following
a three-month long joint investigation with Toronto police.
A young Aldergrove man was in court Thursday, charged
with making or publishing child porn.
Langley Mounties received a tip from Toronto police back
in August that child porn had been traced back to a Internet
subscriber in Aldergrove.
Following the lengthy investigation, which included the
RCMP's Integrated Child Exploitation unit, a 25-year-old
Aldergrove man with no previous criminal history was arrested
without incident in his home at about 1 p.m. Wednesday,
said RCMP Cpl. Brenda Marshall.
He was held in police lockup overnight, and appeared
in Surrey Provincial Court Thursday morning.
Staff Sgt. Alex McLean said the investigation is still
under way, and more charges may follow.
In the meantime, Alexander William Schiller has been
charged with one count of making or publishing child pornography.
