NANAIMO BC: Chantel Poole
Nanaimo RCMP are seeking the assistance of the public
in locating a missing teenage girl. 15 year old Chantel
POOLE left her Foster home in Nanaimo on July 29th, 2006,
and was reported missing by her Foster parent the following
day when she failed to return home.
POOLE was located by her Foster parent and her case manager
for the Ministry of Children and Families several times
in the week following her departure from her residence.
POOLE was located on three occasions in Maffeo Sutton
Park, where she was believed to be camping with a group
of friends. The last date of contact with POOLE was made
on Thursday August 3, 2006 in the park. POOLE has not
been seen or heard from since that time.
POOLE is believed to be in the company of another teenage
girl, and a male in his mid 20's known only as ‘Mike’.
POOLE was last seen wearing dark oversized clothing which
included a hooded sweatshirt and baggy sweatpants. POOLE
stands 5 ft tall, weighs 95 lbs, has long brown straight
hair to her shoulders, and brown eyes. POOLE has an intellectual
disability that puts her at greater risk.
POOLE’s family is anxiously awaiting word from
her. Anyone with information about POOLE’s whereabouts
is asked to call the nearest RCMP detachment, or the Ministry
of Children and Families at 310-1234.
