Missing Teen
NANAIMO BC: Chantel Poole

Nanaimo RCMP are seeking the assistance of the public in locating a missing teenage girl. 15 year old Chantel POOLE left her Foster home in Nanaimo on July 29th, 2006, and was reported missing by her Foster parent the following day when she failed to return home.

POOLE was located by her Foster parent and her case manager for the Ministry of Children and Families several times in the week following her departure from her residence. POOLE was located on three occasions in Maffeo Sutton Park, where she was believed to be camping with a group of friends. The last date of contact with POOLE was made on Thursday August 3, 2006 in the park. POOLE has not been seen or heard from since that time.

POOLE is believed to be in the company of another teenage girl, and a male in his mid 20's known only as ‘Mike’. POOLE was last seen wearing dark oversized clothing which included a hooded sweatshirt and baggy sweatpants. POOLE stands 5 ft tall, weighs 95 lbs, has long brown straight hair to her shoulders, and brown eyes. POOLE has an intellectual disability that puts her at greater risk.

POOLE’s family is anxiously awaiting word from her. Anyone with information about POOLE’s whereabouts is asked to call the nearest RCMP detachment, or the Ministry of Children and Families at 310-1234.
